New Forest Accessible Cycling
If you have an accessible bike, why not bring it on holiday with you? Garden Bench has a garage, and you will have a key for this on your key set, so you are welcome to store your bike there if you cycle from the cottages.
There is a lovely route from us down to the nature reserve, heading out on the ancient highway to the Gun Inn at Keyhaven and returning via the sea wall to Lymington. Explore the route here. Our cottages are just above the Pennington sign on the map, so you would join the route near Foxpond.

The New Forest offers a wide range of accessible cycling routes, and we’re happy to help guests plan cycling during their stay. In the cottage, you will find useful maps and guide books, and we are always happy to offer advice.
If you head into the forest, there are numerous cycle tracks, many of which are suitable as the gates and paths are wide enough for horse riders. The New Forest National Park recommends the routes listed here: New Forest cycle routes . Each route offers something slightly different.

Once you arrive at the cottage, you will also find a selection of route maps, including a copy of New Forest by Bike, which features 12 routes. You are welcome to take this with you for the day. Unfortunately, it is no longer in print to recommend purchasing.
