A guests story
Recently, we welcomed a couple celebrating their mini-moon after their wedding. They spent their days wandering through the New Forest, enjoying lunch by the coast, walking through the Keyhaven and Lymington Nature Reserve, and we were delighted to accompany them our for a walk in the New Forest to capture some beautiful memoriesas they started their married life together.
Once we knew that they had planned to enjoy their honeymoon at Little Bench, we tried to ensure that they were welcomed to a warm, welcoming space designed to help them relax from the moment they arrived, as we know just how much you look back and remember the memories of your own honeymoon.
Little Bench sleeps two and offers accessible self-catering accommodation in the New Forest without losing the feeling of a cosy romantic retreat. The bedroom can be arranged as a king-size bed, while still offering flexibility for accessibility needs, with one side height adjustable using two specialist mattresses. It means you can still enjoy the comfort of sleeping close together, sharing breakfast in bed, and enjoying those quiet moments that make holidays memorable.
Accessibility should never mean compromising on comfort, romance, or independence.
Whether you are planning a mini-moon, celebrating an anniversary, or simply escaping everyday life for a few nights, Little Bench gives you the space to enjoy life together your way.
Spend the morning watching the ponies wander through the forest. Enjoy fish and chips by the sea at Milford on Sea. Stop for coffee in Lymington. Then head back to one of the many cosy New Forest pubs for a meal beside the fire after a day exploring.
Because accessible holidays should still feel like holidays.
For guests who need additional support during their stay, local carers and care agencies can also be arranged privately to visit the cottage if required, allowing couples, families, or carers to enjoy flexible support while still having independence and privacy.
At Our Bench, we know that accessible accommodation is about more than equipment. It is about creating spaces where people can relax, make memories, celebrate milestones, and simply spend quality time together without barriers getting in the way.
“Your thoughtfulness and the care you put into every detail made our time in the New Forest truly memorable.” Glynn and Alison

In their words
"Fabulous stay at Little Bench for our mini moon. The accommodation completely covered my disability needs and I could see it could accommodate more complex needs than mine. If in doubt ask, Helen and Matt who offer this accommodation are very nice and approachable with loads of knowledge in the disability sector.
To top it all off, the accommodation is in a fantastic location. We highly recommend Little Bench for your next stay and will be returning soon." Gynn's google review & Alison's review on Euan's Guide.
